Nearly all members of Oxford House utilize the AA and/or NA program in order to obtain and keep a comfortable sobriety. Then some life-changing events happened and I met drugs and alcohol and within a short period, Meth, cocaine and jail. Without really counting, let’s say I was in and out of jail 15 times. It was always small stuff but it eventually led to worse and deeper drug and alcohol use. Each time it got harder and harder to recover and each time I would search and look for a way out. But, every time you go to jail, you start over; every time you go to jail, you lose everything; every time you go to jail, there’s never a opportunity for recovery just more disappointment.
